Privacy Policy
Last updated 8 October 2026
This policy explains what information NetiyaPath (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it and who helps us process it. NetiyaPath is operated by David Apfel, trading as NetiyaPath, a sole trader based in New Zealand, who is responsible for the personal information described here. If anything is unclear, email support@netiyapath.com.
What we collect
- Your questionnaire answers — for example your goals, budget, available hours, income goal, US state, skills, work preferences and, if you give one, the business idea you have in mind.
- Your email address — so we can save your result, send you its link and, if you buy a report, send your receipt. If you tell us you are outside the US, we keep your email and country so we can let you know if NetiyaPath becomes available where you are.
- Your result and report — the free result we show you, and, if you buy one, the locked inputs and the finished Personalised Business Report.
- Purchase information — when you pay, Stripe tells us the payment’s reference numbers, amount, currency, status and the email used at checkout. We never receive or store your full card details; Stripe handles them.
- Usage and technical information — our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested). Our analytics tool records anonymous usage events, such as starting or completing the questionnaire, viewing a result and starting checkout, together with general browser and device information. It does not receive your questionnaire answers, your email address, your report or the private links to your result and report: those link identifiers are removed before anything is sent.
- Messages you send us — if you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.
How we use it
- To produce your free result and keep it available at its private link.
- To produce, store and deliver a report you buy, and to send your receipt.
- To process payments and refunds, and to answer support requests.
- To understand how NetiyaPath is used and to improve it.
- To keep the service secure and working, and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
AI processing for paid reports
To write parts of a Personalised Business Report’s commentary, we send an AI model provider (Anthropic) a structured summary of your questionnaire answers and the researched facts about the business. We do not include your email address. The provider processes this to return the commentary, which we check against the facts before it is stored in your report.
Who helps us
We use these service providers, who process information on our behalf to run NetiyaPath:
- Vercel — hosts the website and stores submissions, results and reports (Vercel Blob storage), and keeps server logs.
- Stripe — processes payments and refunds.
- Anthropic — the AI model provider used when writing paid reports.
- Resend — sends our emails.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics (see “Cookies and similar technologies”).
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our analytics tool (PostHog) stores a random identifier in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage so it can count visits and steps in the questionnaire without knowing who you are. It does not record your screen, the text you see or type, or the private parts of your result and report links. We don’t use advertising cookies. When you pay, Stripe’s checkout page uses its own cookies under Stripe’s policies.
Private links
Your result and report are reached through long, hard-to-guess private links rather than an account. Anyone who has a link can open it, so keep your links to yourself unless you choose to share them.
How long we keep information
We keep submissions, results, reports and purchase records only for as long as is reasonably needed to provide the service (including keeping your links working), to operate and support it, and for legal and record-keeping purposes. There is currently no fixed automatic deletion schedule. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below); we may need to keep a record of a purchase where the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@netiyapath.com. Please include your result or report link, or the email you used, so we can find it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law.
Children
NetiyaPath is meant for adults planning a business and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if what we collect or how we use it changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also our Terms of Use and Refund Policy.
